Personal History

I am a native Texan, born in Lubbock, Texas. I grew up in El Paso, Texas, a city bordering Mexico and New Mexico. In my sophomore year of high school I moved to Houston, Texas where I attended Bellaire High School. After graduation from Bellaire, I moved to Austin, Texas where I attended the University of Texas as an Elementary Education major.
I love everything Southwestern. I collect Kokopellis, Mexican and Spanish pottery of all shapes and sizes, and baskets. Desert colors are my favorites and flow throughout my home.
I have two sons, Matthew and Nicholas. Matthew is the older of the two and is an attorney in Washington, D.C. Nicholas is at the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia studying...well, studying. Major: Mathematics. I adore them.
My fiancé is a native Montrealer. Besides his work, he enjoys photography (I give all credit to the beautiful pictures on this website to him), softball, hockey, and curling. Among a few of our many interests together are traveling, reading to each other, doing crossword puzzles together, curling together, and going for long walks. He is my soul mate!
