I am very fortunate to have a job that provides me the opportunity to work with lots of talented people in a variety of areas.  My main responsibilities have me working in the Housing and Residence Life Office at the State University of New York College at Plattsburgh.  The Housing and Residence Life Office team consists of five professional team members, two exceptional support team members, ten graduate Residence Directors, eighty-eight Resident Assistants, sixteen Resident Mentors, and a host of other student employees.

RESIDENCE LIFE
My responsibilities with residence life include working with one Assistant Director of Residence Life, two professional Residence Directors, ten graduate Residence Directors, 88 Resident Assistants, and 16 Resident Mentors.  These talented young people provide support, services, programs, and guidance to approximately 2700 students living in the 12 residence halls.  Current initiatives within residence life include the First-Year Housing Initiative in Whiteface and Wilson Halls, programming efforts in all 12 residence halls, as well as the numerous retention efforts facilitated by RDs, RAs, RMs, Faculty Mentors, the Learning Center, and Academic Advising.  We recently completed installing a new door access and security system in all twelve residence halls.
