Using PowerPoint 2003

Communicating verbally to an audience in a speech for a class, a project report for your boss or a training session for staff you work with may be more effective using presentation software. Using Powerpoint 2003 effectively can enhance your presentation by giving the audience summaries, charts and other visuals to help them understand the points you are trying to make. Creating the presentation helps you to organize your thoughts, identify the main points of your speech or report, and create printed handouts that your audience can use for note taking and as a summary of what you said.

PowerPoint presentations are made up of slides. How you create those slides can assist you in making an effective speech or create a distraction from the important content or message you are trying to get across. Remember: keep your slides simple and clear, summarize your ideas, use design and animation sparingly and don't create slides to read from. You'll lose your audience very quickly!
