Listed below is a selection of websites with materials useful in the classroom.  The number of such resources is huge and growing.  Three resources for keeping up with new sites are:

Kathy Schrock's Guide for Educators This site designed for teachers is a "categorized list of sites useful for enhancing currculum and professional growth."

Ben's Guide To U.S. Government for Kids  This site provides tools for K-12 students, their parents and teachers on how the U.S. government works
Great Web Sites for Kids  This site is sponsored and updated by the Association for Library Service for Children, American Library Association.

Curriki "online environment created to support the development and free distribution of world-class educational materials to anyone who needs them" Curriki is a combination of the words, curriculum and wiki.
