Introduction to the World Wide Web

The World Wide Web (WWW) is no longer the information source of the future. It is presently one of the most important information sources around. It is possible to access practically anything that you need through the WWW. And if your at the University, its free. This purpose of this lab is to expose you to this service by showing you some of the ways that I use it. It is not a comprehensive guide, but a starter course that should point you in the general direction.

There are three parts to this lab:

General Mechanics is an introduction to how to navigate on the web and where you can do this on the SUNY Plattsburgh campus. This is for those of you who have little or no experience.

Searching Tools and Strategies is information on how I access things and some general ideas on how to get what you need.

Cool Sites has links to great places to find info on Cell Biology and other things that I find interesting. I will be updating this as I find new stuff or as people send me URL's of interesting sites.
