Finding Journal and Magazine Articles

Try these anthropology or anthropology-inclusive databases to find articles on subjects related to anthropology.  You can also go to the subject database menu on the library homepage and click on Anthropology.

Anthrosource: allows you to search an electronic archive of American Anthropological Association journals and current issues of eleven of the Association's peer-reviewed publications

ARTstor: allows you to search over 300,000 images from artistic traditions across many times and cultures including architecture, painting, sculpture, decorative arts, and more

Sociological Abstracts: allows you to search abstracts of major sociology journals from 1974 to present

ProQuest Research Library: allows you to search over 2,600 periodicals and newspapers on a wide range of topics including the arts, humanities, social sciences, sciences, and more

ScienceDirect: (particularly helpful to forensic or physical anthropology research) Allows you to search the full-text of over 1,700 scientific and social sciences journals from Elsevier publishing 

General Science Collection: (particularly helpful to archaeological and forensic or physical anthropology research) Allows you to search full-text coverage for more than 60 popular science publications, dating back as far as 1992. 

NAXOS Music Library: allows you to search and listen to an online music collection of over 75,000 tracks of classical, jazz, and world music and includes background  notes for many recordings.
