Library Catalog can lead you to books published in other languages.
First, click the Advanced Search tab. Then, in the Language field (the
third box down), click the drop-down arrow. Now you can limit your
search to one of 8 languages including French.
The search will only retrieve books in the language you have selected.
Back in the search box at the top of the screen, you can type a specific
title or author such as: If our library doesn't have what you want, go to WorldCat to search a worldwide library catalog of over 50 million books. Finding Journal and Magazine Articles Try these Foreign Language databases to find articles on subjects related to Foreign Languages & Literature. You can also go to the subject database menu on the library homepage and click on Foreign Languages or Canadian Studies. Government of Canada Publications: Covers all types of Canadian federal government documents, some in full-text or French. Canadian
Periodicals Index: Full-text to many articles covering all of Canada,
some available in French. MLA Bibliography: Massive bibliography from the Modern Language Association. Project Muse: 250 journal titles from 40 scholarly publishers covering many fields in the humanities and social sciences. Lexis-Nexis Academic: Full-text access to non-English language news sources. (Note: To search for foreign language articles you must first click the Guided News Search tab at the top. Then, in the Step One box select Non-English Language News.
