experimentation, research, field work, etc. EX. Journal

Secondary Information -
Information that has been removed
from its
original form and repackaged, analyzed, translated,
reinterpreted,
changed in some way. EX. books, encyclopedia
articles, etc.
Peer
Reviewed Journal Articles
articles that have been
reviewed
by experts prior to publication which provides a
guarantee that the
information is of the high quality. You can
search most databases
by peer review (alternate terms for the concept of peer review
-
"scholarly").
Locating
Full text articles:
360 LINK to Full Text
- provides access to journal articles
for
which we have access to the full text. This access
will be
from
databases that do not have full text in them (for
example Medline).
You click on the 360 Link icon to determine
if the article is available
in full text.

portal "MyPlattsburgh" (if off campus, as you will be authenticated as a
PSU user). Access to a lot of biological literature that isn't indexed
elsewhere.
Accessing Books
Books are accessible thru
the Search Feinberg (which is on the
Library homepage). Search SUNY gives you access to all SUNY
libraries and their holdings via ILLiad. Search Worldwide gives
you access to material worldwide. Materials from SUNY libraries
usually arrive on campus within 3 days.

Try using
www.ixquick.com to find information in the deep web
items not usually indexed in Google or Yahoo.
