To start, search through the Plattsburgh City Web site and the Clinton County Essex County , as well as the CVPH Medical Center Web site.

Look also for state-wide information relevant to our region at the NYS Health Department Web site, specific program web sites such as NYS WIC Webpage and population and income statistics at New York Quick Facts.

Look for national information at the U.S. Census Factfinder and at sites such as these from the Librarians Internet Index

Living Together: A New Look at Racial and Ethnic Integration in Metropolitan Neighborhoods view more info comment email item
In this 2004 report, the authors analyzed the changing racial and ethnic populations in America's 10 largest metropolitan areas, comparing data from the 1990 and 2000 censuses. They concluded that "the emergence of more mixed-race communities, especially those with growing Hispanic and Asian populations, calls out for examining how policy might foster racial and ethnic integration, and encourage positive social outcomes in an increasingly diverse society."
