From this page you can link to syllabi for the courses I teach. But before you go clicking away let me tell you a little about myself. I have been in the field of Special Education for 20 plus years and could not think of any better vocation. For me being able to go to work everyday and do something you love is the greatest gift anyone could ever have. My passion is learning, what better place to do so then at SUNY Plattsburgh. Although listed as the professor in the courses I teach, every time I step into the classroom it is actually a new learning experience for me.
Not unlike you I selected SUNY Plattsburgh for a variety of reasons
close to home but not too close, skiing in the winter and hiking in the summer,
its closeness to Montreal and Burlington.... But what has kept me here is the
quality of the faculty, staff, and our candidates (students). So welcome
once more to my web page and welcome to SUNY Plattsburgh!
Teach your students to use what talents they have; the woods would be silent if no bird sang except those who sing best.

There are three things to remember when teaching: know your stuff; know whom you are stuffing; and stuff them elegantly.

We must view young people not as empty bottles to be filled, but as candles to be lit.

The object of teaching a child is to enable him to get along without his teacher.

Each second we live in a new and unique moment of the universe, a moment that never was before and will never be again. And what do we teach our children
in school? We teach them that two and two make four, and that Paris is the capital of France. When will we also teach them what they are? You should say
to each of them: Do you know what you are? You are unique. In all the world there is no other child exactly like you. In the millions of years that have passed there has never been a child like you. And look at your body-what a wonder it is! Your legs, your arms, your cunning fingers, the way you move! You may be a Shakespeare, a Michelangelo, a Beethoven. You have the
capacity for anything. Yes, you are a marvel.
