American History The New Dictionary of Cultural Literacy, Third Edition, 2002. This site provides an overview of the basics and a catalog of relevant entries for the period since 1865.
Law Buzz: Awesome Stories An interesting and comprehensive collection of on-line material relating to famous and sensational trials.
Library of Congress: American Memory A good place to search for further information on many topics related to American History. The site includes a searchable database of photographs, manuscripts, and other primary source materials.
Home Page of the History Channel This site includes speeches, exhibits, and other useful material covering a broad range of topics and periods.
The American Presidency The Grolier Multimedia Encyclopedia includes biographies of presidents, presidential candidates, and other related issues.
Medical History of American Presidents A site developed by a medical doctor. Interesting materials concerning the history of medicine and certainly relevant to the history of the U.S. Presidency.
The Oyez Project: United States Supreme Court Multimedia Database To learn more about important Supreme Court cases (Plessy vs. Ferguson, Brown vs. Board of Education of Topeka, etc.), visit this site at Northwestern University for texts, images, and audio materials.
Central Pacific Railroad A collection of photographs and documents from the Central Pacific Railroad collection. Includes considerable information and primary source materials concerning the nation's first transcontinental railroad.
