Invasive Plant Management

Wetlands have disappeared at alarming rates.  Since their many values and functions are now being recognized, wetlands restoration has been practiced worldwide.   Invasive species are species that rapidly reproduce and displace native species.  Species such as purple loosestrife and cordgrass have been identified at wetlands outside of their native ranges.  Due to their detrimental effects on ecosystems, many wetland restoration projects involve invasive species management.
