Advising Activities:

  • Keeping up-to-date on SUNY Plattsburgh graduate and undergraduate programs and policies.
  • Assisting the Extension Center Director in advising prospective, non-matriculated, and degree students.

  • Coordinating the preparation and administration of graduate comprehensive examinations, including working with the Extension Center Secretary and Adjunct Faculty to maintain an up-to-date data-base of current relevant questions.
  • Preparing initial graduation checklists for all students completing graduate degrees at the Plattsburgh Extension Center, for approval of the Director.
  • Completing other appropriate assignments or duties as directed by Center Director.


Technology Activities:

  • Assisting Extension Center faculty and staff in maintaining proficiency in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, Publisher, the Internet, etc., and providing computer technical support for Extension Center staff.
  • Accessing the College's electronic systems (Banner, etc) to assist Extension Center faculty and students with registration, class rosters, web reports, CAPP reports, etc. Providing support and training for Banner as well as Webmail to Extension Center faculty, staff, and students (Banner Web enabled forms and Telnet).
  • Creating, editing, and maintaining the Extension Center web site. Provide clerical support for Extension Center staff, Student Teaching Field Supervisors, and full-time and part-time faculty.

Advise students as to how to remove holds and if necessary assist in removing them. Enter faculty grades into Banner as needed.
  • Create, maintain and update Extension Center website and strive to make it a responsive dynamic communication tool.
