Class Bulletin Board: Notes and Notices

11/13/07:  Some of you know that I am having difficulty (and intense pain) in my hands.  I have had to make a decision about your document you will submit - the Unit Plan - for evaluation.  I could either provide numerous comments in your document (Unit Plan and Lesson Plan) and no narrative feedback along with the rubrics, or I could provide narrative feedback but no comments.  I have decided to provide narrative feedback with the rubrics.  I am hand writing comments on the hard copy you submit.  I will return to hard copy to you so that you can read the comments.  Return the hard copy to me at your convenience.   If you have any questions, e-mail me at drpegsclasses@verizon.net - thanks.

#############################################

11/07/07:  This notice is a reminder about submitting documents.  The process has been explained in writing (see syllabus and project requirements) and verbally (WG, SG, I, and to the Project Communicators).  You are required to submit all documents electronically no later than the night of your presentation.  If you need an extension on the deadline, you must communicate the reason and get an extended deadline date.  You must also submit your Unit Plan and Lesson Plan in hard copy.  If you choose to submit only hard copies, you will receive limited feedback and points will be deducted from your assignment total points.  For those working in groups, one person will submit the electronic documents.  This person will be send the evaluation in electronic format.  If every person in the group wishes to receive the document from me, the person who submits the documents should include everyone's e-mail address in the body of the e-mail.  Please e-mail me if you have any questions.  Those of you who have not sent the electronic version of the Genre Bibliography Paper have an extended deadline - Saturday, 11/10/07, 5:00 p.m.

***********************************************

08/07/07:  I am asking that everyone in the class send an e-mail to drpegsclasses@verizon.net so that I can populate an e-mail distribution list.   Please use the e-mail address that is your primary address.  If I do not get an e-mail from you, your address cannot be placed in the distribution list.  You may, therefore, miss an important message.

Use the following information in the Subject Line: My e-mail address - Your full name.  In the body of your e-mail, provide your mailing (snail mail) address and your telephone number(s).  Thanks.

Additional note: Please be sure to put the class information (EDR number and section) in the body of your e-mail so I will know what class distribution list to add your information to; thanks.

#############################################

08/07/07:  Attached files in word or rtf must be sent using the following format.  All messages with attached files should be sent to the drpegsclasses@verizon.net address.  If you wish to be generous, you should also send the message with the attached file to peggy.snowden@plattsburgh.edu (my campus address).

The required format must be used for both the name of the file and for the Subject Line of your e-mail message.  The general format for files & subject line is:

complete date_specific name of document and number (if necessary)- your name*

*First name is fine; if there are two with the same first name, include the first initial of your last name

An example of a file name is:

08 29 07_Readability Assessment Narrative Text - Peg S

Another example of a file name is:

            09 26 07_ Internet Resource List - Peggy
