Cockpit Table

There are a number of teak cockpit tables available commercially, however we generally like to build things for ourselves so that we can create a custom design.    In the case of the cockpit table our goals were simplicity and convenience.    The hinge consists of two spring loaded pins that are inserted into holes in the aft sides of the table.  These pins go into holes that were drilled into the inside of the wheel guard posts (much like the spring pins that hold a watch strap).    The table support consists of a wooden brace that pivots on the steering pedestal.  This support is almost identical to the support used on the forward end of the port side of the dining table.
