Helmsman's Seat

We found it difficult to see forward (I am 5'8"and Claudia is 5'4") from the helmsman's seat without standing. This "booster" seat, built fairly easily from teak, is hinged on the side so that access to the lazarette locker is not disturbed. We have also found that the area directly under the seat makes a convenient temporary storage compartment for small items that might otherwise be sliding around the cockpit - a folded chart, waterway guide, sponge, etc. Now I need to add a custom seat cushion!
