Rudder Post Support

On our boat, the top of the rudder post was not oringinally positively secured.   After a number of years, the hole through which the post protruded became slighly enlarged.   We solved this problem by having the original stainless steel collar welded to a rectangular plate which was then secured to the cockpit sole by four bolts.   This eliminates any movement at the top of the rudder post.
