Originally from the Red River Valley in Minnesota, I received my B.A. in art in 1965 from Concordia College, Moorhead, MN. Concordia is a small Lutheran college and had a great art program. From Concordia, I headed south to the University of Iowa. There, I received my M.A. and M.F.A. degrees in painting in 1967 and 1969, the year Plattsburgh State invited me to join its faculty and the year the Art Department moved into the then-new Myers building. I've had the good fortune to exhibit my work throughout the United States and in Canada, and to be included in numerous private and public collections. In 1992, I became Chairperson of the Art Department, a position I still fill in 2001. |
