3. Video Set on the Capitalist

Capital accumulation is, of course, the name of the game.  And there is little doubt that the efforts at increasing capital and maintaining economic growth have improved the life of a significant portion of the world's population.  But not everyone.  The videos in this set examine both the pros and cons of the economic system we call capitalism, looking at how some have benefited, but , also, how some have suffered declines in their quality of life.

Life and Debt - Globalization and Jamaica: Probably one of the best documentaries on globalization and the role of the Bretton Woods institutions (the IMF, World Bank, and GATT/WTO).  The film follows the systematic destruction of the Jamaican economy.
