While I don't believe Goffman's perspective, or anybody else's really, can explain every aspect of social interaction, the one part of his perspective that caught my attention was his mention of how we act differently in "Front Stage" and "back stage" situations. I believe we all know that we act differently when people are around or could see us, but most of us never stop to think about it. I beleive this is one area where Goffman differs dramatically from Mead.
