CDS 448 Language Disorders


Course Description
In this course, students examine language delays/disorders exhibited by children with specific language disabilities, as well as children diagnosed as learning disabled and those whose language difficulties stem from other handicapping conditions. Language disorders in all modalities are discussed: speaking, listening, reading, and writing. Students are presented with information regarding description of language delays/disorders, etiologies of these disorders, and assessment techniques and intervention procedures.

Prerequisite: CDS 241
